Levi’s NYC Showroom

 OBJECTIVE

Create a private virtual tour of the Levi’s NYC showroom for B2B buyers, like Macy’s.

We had one week to turn around the project – everything from production (capturing the 360 imagery) to post-production and publication across various platforms.

The full tour is confidential, but a small-scale demo is available upon request.

PUTTING THE PUZZLE TOGETHER

Hawaii-based video wizards, Kinetic Productions brought us onboard to integrate the 2D videos they produced and integrate them into a 360 VR virtual tour.

After the 360 shoot, I assembled a team of VR post specialists in Europe and Asia so that we could collectively work around the clock to expedite completion of virtual tour.

The virtual tour begins by loading a 2D highlight video that autoplays upon loading the website. From there, the visitors lands in a 360 video outside the Levi’s NYC HQ. After entering the building, visitors can freely move about the showroom by clicking around Google Streetview-style or via an interactive menu.

We implemented a minimalist UX/UI consisting of a carousel menu and a series of colorful pulsating play button “hotspots” that trigger playback of videos about the different clothing lines. All UI elements incorporate Levi’s-branded fonts, colors and styling

In order to increase page load speeds, we actually superimposed small motion elements onto portions of 360 still image frame, such as the old-school CRT TV at the Gold Tab station and the Video Wall near the lobby.

FINAL PRODUCT

Deliverables were to submitted to the Levi's webmaster within one week, ready for launch.

The virtual tour has cross-platform compatibility, which means it adapts to work on browsers via desktop, mobile and in VR headsets all from the same URL.

After all the time invested in creating the virtual tour, it was important to embed advanced analytics capabilities. The virtual tour is compatible with Google Analytics, enabling us to gather statistics to help understand how visitor traffic flowed through the tour, the overall duration of time spent, which paths the audience followed as well as the most popular locations & hotspots.
